This Midwest weather is really giving a new meaning to the term snow bunny. But don’t let the stubborn winter conditions get you down. Spring will be here just in time to celebrate Easter and there is no better place to be than in the Peoria Area! Here are some suggestions for the weekend to help you take the stress out of the holiday and simply celebrate.
Wildlife Prairie State Park is hosting a bunny breakfast to help celebrate Easter on Saturday March, 30th from 8:00- 11:00 am! The menu includes yummy breakfast favorites like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and French toast. Following the breakfast will be a Giant Easter Egg Hunt for the younger kids, starting at 11:30 and another following at 1:30! Join Wolfie, the Easter Bunny, and Bill the Bear for entertainment and music as they help announce the countdown to collecting these brightly-colored eggs, an annual spring tradition that offers lots of fun as well as a good opportunity to shoot exciting video or photos for great family memories.
The Peoria Park District’s Proctor Center is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival for children ages 3-12 years on Friday, March 29 from 1-3pm. Easter is always fun when you can play games such as the egg toss, scrambled eggs, and jelly bean guessing game, and search for colorful candy and prize-filled eggs. Plus, you can meet the Easter Bunny!
Kids will journey through The Logan Center on Friday March 29th from 11:0am to Noon to see who can find the most Easter eggs filled with candy and prizes. Before the hunt, have fun playing games, coloring contest, face painting and more! Prizes will be given to the winners of contests and games. Activities held inside in case of rain.
